What's MUN?

Model United Nations, MUN, is a simulation of real-life proceedings of the United Nations. Participants get to represent countries from around the globe as their respective delegates or ambassadors in one of the numerous United Nations or UN affiliated committees. Each committee at the end of its sessions produces a resolution, a document containing solutions suggested to the global issues discussed. The resolutions are then read out and discussed during the General Assembly comprising of all delegations.

Why JASMUN?

01

Strong Academics

At JASMUN, we focus on creating meaningful and engaging academic experiences. We want delegates to do more than just debate and really focus on learning, thinking critically, and growing throughout the conference.

Each committee explores two topics that are linked by a clear central theme. Debates are led by experienced chairs who are there to guide discussions and support delegates. This years theme is "The Rise of Emerging Global Powers". It explores how rapidly developing countries are gaining influence in international politics and economics. Before, global power had been dominated by chosen states. However, in recent decades, emerging powers, which are countries with growing economies, political influence, and regional leadership, have begun to reshape the international system.

02

International Environment

JASMUN brings together delegates from around the world and creates a diverse and open environment for comfortable discussions.

You as a delegate will have the opportunity to meet people from different countries, exchange perspectives and work with them to develop solutions to significant issues. JASMUN builds friendships and connections that last even after the conference ends!

03

New RoP

This years JASMUN Rules of Procedure, is fully inspired the THIMUN ROP, providing a fresh take on the traditional MUN experience in the Polish MUN community.

This new RoP offers a more accessible and engaging approach to Model United Nations, that is beginner friendly. Instead of defending their position from the start, delegates work in groups to develop ideas and build draft resolutions together, making it easier to feel the comfortable atmosphere and make MUN experience less intimidating.
